MAE YOUNG APPERANCE NIXED
Mae Young, 85, was brought in for Raw this week but ended up doing a Kiss Cam segment during the commercial breaks so wasn’t seen on camera. They had planned a segment for her with Rhodes and DiBiase but that was nixed and rewritten a couple of hours before the show. It’s hard to believe but Young has been involved in wrestling now for 68 years!

SATURDAY NIGHT’S MAIN EVENT PREVIEW

Representing Monday nights, John Cena and Batista team with Cryme Tyme to collide with the formidable tandem of JBL, Kane & World Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase. Cena and The Animal are on the brink of their first-time singles encounter at SummerSlam while the Longhorn Loudmouth and the Big Red Machine seem intent on stalking World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk.

And of course, Raw’s Robbin’ Hoods would like nothing more than to earn yet another victory over the World Tag Team titleholders, en route to a possible future championship match. Which eight-man squad will seize the day?

Can’t wait till Saturday? check out spoilers here

SATURDAY NIGHT’S MAIN EVENT SPOILERS

To read the spoilers from last nights Saturday Night’s Main Event just hover over the text below.

Eight Man Tag Team Match:
JBL, Kane, Cody Rhodes & Mike Dibiase defeated John Cena, Batista & Cryme Time in 11 minutes via pinfall when JBL pinned JTG.
-Match Notes: A decent, competitive eight man tag that got hot towards the end. Interesting to note that JBL came to the ring, followed by Cryme Tyme, followed by Rhodes and Dibiase, followed by Cena, then Kane, and finally Batista for ring introductions. JBL got the pin with the clothsline from hell and stared down CM Punk, perhaps previewing the Summerslam World Title matchup.

WWE Tag Team Title Match: Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler vs. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase

Hacksaw Duggan comes out first followed by Jerry “The King” Lawler. We go to a video of last week when Lawler and Duggan brawled with Rhodes and DiBiase. Another referee runs out as King’s music is playing and hands Lilian Garcia a note. She says this match has been changed by the new General Manager. Lawler will not be teaming up with Duggan as it will now be Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler taking on the Champions. Michael Cole looks on puzzled as we go to a commercial break.

Back from commercial and Michael Cole is on the ring apron arguing. There is nobody doing commentary. Cole finally gets in the ring as the WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase make their way to the ring.

Lawler tries to calm Cole down as we get ready for the match. It’s going to be Lawler and DiBiase starting things out. Yep, there is no commentary on this match as DiBiase backs Lawler in the corner. Lawler comes out and slaps DiBiase. Lawler hits him with a big boot but gets leveled with a huge DiBiase clothesline. DiBiase tags in Cody Rhodes and holds Lawler. The King hits DiBiase and catches Cody off guard but Rhodes manages to back him in the corner with right hands.

The referee seems to be very loud, much more vocal than usual. The guy is really showing out. Lawler comes back and drops DiBiase with right hands. He goes to piledrive Rhodes but gets back body dropped. Rhodes wants Lawler to tag in Michael Cole. Rhodes attacks Lawler, throws him out of the ring and brings in Michael Cole to the ring. Cole hits Cody with a weak right hand it looked like which just pisses him off. Cody hits Cole and then floors him with a clothesline to pin him for the three count.

Winners: Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase

ALTOON, PA – RAW HOUSESHOW – 27TH JULY
John Cena & Crime Tyme defeated Y2J, Ted DiBiase, and Cody Rhodes. Y2J and Lance Cade came out first and Lance got on the mic saying that Y2J wasn’t going to wrestle tonight and the two started to leave. But they came back and Y2J got on the mic talking about how he put out HBK and the only people he trusted were Cade, Rhodes, and DiBiase. Cena and Crime Tyme then came out. The ovation for Cena was off the chart. The crowd blew the roof off the Jaffa. There were no anti-Cena people here. They then stormed the ring clearing it out. As the ref was trying to get control Cade jumped into the ring and nailed Cena.

Cena then was on the receiving end of a long beat down. Cena was then able to tag in Shade who had some offense before taging in JTG who then received a long beat down before making the hot tag to Cena. Cena did a double You Can’t See Me on DiBiase and Rhodes at one point. In the final sequence everyone hit their finishers. It started with Rhodes coming in a nailing his finisher on Cena, then JTG came in and nailed Rhodes, JTG was then nailed by DiBiase’s sleeper slam, Shad then nailed DiBiase, Y2J then hit the codebreaker on Shad, and then Cena nailed the FU on Y2J. DiBiase was the legal man so Cena then put the STFU on DiBiase who immediately tapped out, giving the win to Cena and Crime Tyme.

After the show:A funny thing was that Beth Phoenix, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, and Johnny Curtis were all driving together and Y2J came out with them. Y2J came over to Rhodes and DiBiase and hugged both of them to console them on their loss from earlier. Then Y2J made it look like he was going to come over and sign autographs but then walked away and waved away the fans. Then Rhodes and DiBiase did rock, paper, sciscors to see who got to ride shotgun as Johnnie Curtis was driving.

ALTERCATION WITH MAE?
- We’ve received word that WWE Hall of Famer Mae Young has been asked by WWE to be at the tapings for RAW and Saturday Night’s Main Event this coming Monday night in Washington, DC.

No word yet which show Mae will be apart of or what kind of angle she will take part in but speculation is that she will do something with Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Jr.

YOUNGSTOWN, OH – RAW HOUSESHOW – 25TH JULY
Six man tag team Cryme Tyme and John Cena vs. Chris Jericho, Ted Dibiase and Cody Rhodes. This should have been the main event. People rushed the barricades when Cena’s music played. He got more pop than Batista did for the main event. It took 10 mins for the match to begin after Cena’s music ended. I had floor seats and could see very little of this match because no one would sit down for it. A few fights almost broke out in our section because of it. The crowd was absolutely nuts for Cena.

CTC defeated Jericho, Dibiase and Rhodes.

And another report.

The next match was a six man tag team match: Chris Jericho (who
yelled at the crowd 4 about 5 minutes, a brilliant promo) Cody Rhodes, and Ted DiBiase versus Cryme Tyme and John Cena. CTC(the name 4 the Cryme Tyme-Cena stable) won after Cena made DiBiase submit to the STFU.

Biggest Pop: John Cena
Biggest Heat: Chris Jericho
Best match: Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes, and Ted DiBiase vs. John Cena and Cryme Tyme
Worst match: Lance Cade vs. D’Lo Brown

CTC defeated Jericho, Dibiase and Rhodes.
