Vickie congratulated her husband on his World Title victory last night, then she brought out the new WWE champion Randy Orton. Orton came out with Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes while Jerry Lawler talked about the entire McMahon family feeling sick watching this. Orton took his sweet time showing off the title belt for everyone to get a good look. Michael Cole said Orton is making sure the entire world knows he’s WWE champion.

Orton finally finished his great heel parade of his championship, then he slowly accepted the mic from Vickie. Orton surveyed the arena with his piercing eyes, then he slowly looked toward the hard camera and began… “The McMahon Family is mourning. All of them. Their last hope, their protector, their champion… has fallen.” Orton said that after five long years, he beat Triple H. Not only beat him, but he kicked Hunter as hard as he could in the skull just like he said he was going to do.

Captures will be up tomorrow. Backstage, Todd Grisham brought in Randy Orton for an interview. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase walked around in the background as Grisham set up his questioning. Orton said he doesn’t want to talk about Triple H and Shane McMahon. He wanted to talk to Batista. He said he’s been his own man for a while, but Dave is still carrying bags for Triple H after all these years. Orton told Batista not to get DQ’ed tonight because he wouldn’t want Triple H to lose his title. That’s what’s important, right? Orton said after all these years, it’s still all about The Game for some people anyways.

Triple H & Shane McMahon & Batista vs. Randy Orton & Cody Rhodes & Ted Dibiase — WWE Championship Match

Before the opening bell, all six men brawled in the ring until Hunter dragged Orton to the floor and chucked him backstage. Hunter then ran back down to the ring and the ref started the match with a three-on-two set-up. Cole made the point that Orton could win the WWE Title without even being ringside if his team were to win or if McMahons are DQ’ed or counted out. Apparently Orton really needed to go the bathroom, as this dragged on for a while with the McMahons working over Ted and Cody pretty easily to start things off. Batista teased the Batistabomb at 5:30, but DiBiase scampered to the outside to escape Batista.

Suddenly, Orton ran down the ramp at 5:45 and cracked Batista into the ringpost while Batista was giving chase on DiBiase. Crowd came to life as Orton tagged himself in and went to work on Batista. The announcers played up a possible concussion for Batista with the idea that Batista is just returning from that Punt from Orton. Orton went to work on Batista and gave him the big horizontal DDT off the second rope for a two count. Batista teased a hot tag to Hunter, but Orton cut him off. Batista then fired back with a flying headbutt/shoulder out of nowhere and Shane took the hot tag to start firing off on Cody, who tagged in for Orton.
