Sure, this “host” role gives the celebs a platform to promote their new projects and adds an element of unpredictability to the weekly live show – but who would the WWE stars themselves like to see hosting the show?

At Comic-Con, Ted DiBiase, Jr made no bones about his love for Megan Fox. He told us that he’d love for her to host RAW and even volunteered Legacy up as her own personal bodyguards. He said that he’d make sure that “no one ever laid a hand on her.” “She’d be very safe under my careful protection,” DiBiase added.

Though they lost twice, The Legacy looked quite impressive against DX’s Triple H & Shawn Michaels and proved on Raw they’re not about to back down.

THQ officially announced WWE: SmackDown! vs. Raw 2010 and Destructoid was there to capture every moment of the amazing press event. Watch as Ted DiBiase almost tosses me out the window, my tender momemt with Cody Rhodes, and Matt Hardy makes me his little borther. Don’t worry, this isn’t the first time I’ve crossed paths with WWE Superstars. Co-Starring in Brooke Knows Best has thought me the ancient art of taking a chair to the face from the Hulkster himself.

Legacy where in a dark match last night at the Smackdown taping! From what i’ve read they made no on-air apperances. Check out the results below!

DX music hits and they come down to the ring.. HHH and Michaels start the pre-match ritual, but Hunter stops, looks over his shoulder to Justin [announcer] and asks him to leave the ring as they are trying to do a macho thing and he’s cramping their style.. he then looks over the other shoulder at the ref, who also leaves the ring. HBK taps him on the shoulder and points to himself, then outside the ring, to which Trips replies ‘no, no.. you can stay. Although there is something to be said about a grown man wearing chaps as his ring attire.. but hey, I wear my underwear.. so who cares?’ Normal routine up until ‘millions watching at home’ to which Shawn taps him on the shoulder again to remind him it’s a dark match. Hunter asks the time keeper what time it is, then says: ‘No, it’s only 10:40.. RAW is on until 11′. Shawn then points out the SMACKDOWN! set and ring apron, and Hunter says: ‘What the hell are we doing on Smackdown? Oh well.. THEN. For the thousands in attendance, and the millions who will never see this because it’s after the show has already ended to be aired on Friday, which is being taped on Tuesday; let’s get ready to…. (you can guess the rest)

Cena’s music hits, he comes out to join DX for the 6-Man Tag against Legacy. Orton and Cena end up brawling to the back while DX hit their finishers on Legacy to send everyone home happy.

Backstage, They zoomed in tight on Orton’s face to start the show. Orton said a fan “unbeknownst to me” interfered in the match. Camera pulled back to show Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes standing next to him. Orton then said they actually do know who the “fan” was. DiBiase said it was his brother, Brett, who became too over-zealous after buying a ticket to Summerslam last night to watch him wrestle against DX. Brett dejectedly apologized. Cody interjected that Orton would have won anyways. Orton said bottom line is he’s still the WWE champion.
DiBiases and Cody were in the locker room talking strategy. Randy Orton then walked in and told Brett to get lost for a second. Orton talked strategy about shutting down Vince McMahon for good on his birthday. He vowed to Punt McMahon in the skull to get rid of him for good. Typical “henchmen create a plot” segment before the climax of the episode. DiBiase and Rhodes pumped themselves up after Orton walked off.
