By Jay Nanda – Express-News Ted DiBiase Jr. will be wreaking havoc in some capacity when World Wrestling Entertainment’s “Tables, Ladders & Chairs” Pay-Per-View takes place at 7 p.m. Sunday before another AT&T Center-filled crowd. But that’s not the type of impact the former Mississippi College wide receiver and soccer player, actor and son of future WWE Hall-of-Famer Ted “Million Dollar Man” DiBiase hopes to leave long term. As some of his peers traveled to Iraq to tape the WWE’s seventh annual “Salute to the Troops” (8p.m. Dec. 19, NBC), DiBiase Jr., 27, spoke with me by phone last week:
Does being part of a third-generation family, particularly being linked to your dad’s legacy, have any drawbacks?
Yeah, sure, immediately people compare you to your father and grandfather. My dad, what an impact he made on this business. He’ll forever be remembered as The Million Dollar Man, one of the greatest in the company, and he paved the way for us young guys. But now it’s not as hard to make a name for myself as it was at first. I’m very proud of who I am and where I’m going, and the challenge.

THE LEGACY: CODY RHODES & TED DiBIASE
A surprisingly solid DTV sequel introduces an exciting new director and action star.
