The third-generation Superstar got back on the winning track this week, defeating John Morrison on Raw thanks to some help from his hired muscle, Maryse.

Ted and his father were featured in a tiny interview in the August-September issue of Sky Sports Magazine to promote SummerSlam. Thanks to Steph from Instant-Classic.org we have that scan now up in the gallery. Be sure to head over and check it out!

Backstage: Edge was talking to someone (or himself) about Cena’s team for Summerslam. The camera panned left to show Ted DiBiase and Maryse standing there. Edge told DiBiase he wishes DiBiase was on the team instead of Great Khali. Maryse sneered at the thought of Khali on the team as Edge talked him down. Maryse said they can’t even understand him when he talks. DiBiase said that when he beats John Morrison tonight, Cena will realize his error and take Khali and Morrison off the team. Edge said he likes the sound of that. Edge walked off, then the camera caught Ranjin Singh listening off to the side while pretending to have a conversation with a stagehand. Singh said he’ll talk the guy later. Apparently he has some work to do getting Khali in domination mode.
R-Truth was ringside completing his rap before giving a shout-out to San Antonio. Truth joined Cole and Lawler on commentary for the next match. Out first was Ted DiBiase, along with Maryse. Cole recapped events on last week’s Raw when John Morrison and DiBiase brawled, with Morrison gaining the upperhand. Cue up Morrison’s theme music to bring out Morrison, complete with a little facial scruff.
JOHN MORRISON vs. TED DIBIASE (w/Maryse)
Maryse tried to trip Morrsison from the outside in the opening seconds of the match, which gave DiBiase an opening to work on Morrison. Truth said they need to start thinking positively for Morrison and for Team Cena. Morrison fired off right hand blows to start a comeback before hitting an enziguiri kick. Morrison then went to the corner for Starship Pain, but Maryse got on the apron to run a distraction. Truth and Morrison sent Maryse running away, then DiBiase created an opportunity to bump Morrison and Truth into each other to feed the “dissension” storyline. DiBiase then rolled up Morrison for the pin and the win.
WINNER: DiBiase at 2:15.

EVE TORRES vs. MARYSE (w/Ted DiBiase)
Maryse talked trash to Eve before the match started, so Eve slapped her. DiBiase noted Maryse will become #1 contender to the Divas Title if she wins tonight. Eve then hit a kick to the face out of the corner and made a cover. Maryse put her foot on the bottom rope in-between the two and three, but the ref didn’t see it and awarded Eve the win. DiBiase, agitated, jumped into the ring and screamed at the ref. Suddenly, John Morrison hit the ring in street clothes and sporting a bandage over his left arm to jump DiBiase. Morrison nailed a kick strike to the face, then hit Starship Pain. Morrison stood tall over DiBiase with a more serious demeanor as Maryse sold agitation with things falling apart again. Morrison stared down Maryse as he left the ring, then helped DiBiase recover as DiBiase stared down Morrison.
WINNER: Eve at 1:15. Too short to amount to much, but nice follow-up on DiBiase vs. Morrison to set up what appears to be a singles match at Summerslam.

RAW MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH
Order of ring entrances: Randy Orton, The Miz, Mark Henry, Ted DiBiase (w/Maryse), John Morrison, Chris Jericho, Evan Bourne, and Edge. Cole said Miz is his dark horse pick to win the match. Bourne dove into Henry in the corner at 1:00; they both tumbled to ringside. Edge, alone in the ring, was the first to climb the ladder and touch the ladder. Orton yanked him down and pounded on him. DiBiase used a ladder in the ring as a weapon. Morrison avoided the ladder and dropped DiBiase with a spinning hook kick. DiBiase clotheslined Morrison back-first onto the ladder. Ouch. Bourne dropkicked a ladder into DiBIase. Miz rammed Bourne’s head into the ladder. Jericho attacked Miz. Henry dove onto the back of Miz who was draped over the middle rope. As Henry showboated, Miz blindsided him with a ladder shot.
I the ring, Bourne set up a ladder. Jericho charged at him with the ladder. Bourne ducked and then set up a ladder mid-ring and climbed to the top. Edge grasped as Bourne. Bourne dove off and head scissored him to the mat. Orton entered the ring and gave Bourne a DDT off the ladder’s third rung the same way he usually does off the middle rope. Morrison rammed Orton into the turnbuckle and then leaping roundkicked him in the head. Orton rolled to the floor. Morrison fell backward into the ladder and hit the back of his head and seemed momentarily stunned. DiBiase went after Morrison, but Morrison reversed him with a suplex attempt. Miz intervened. Miz and DiBiase stomped on Morrison. Morrison used a drop toe hold to send DiBiase into a ladder propped in the corner.
