Suddenly, Ted DiBiase walked out on stage. Of all people. DiBiase said one year ago, he was one of WWE’s rising stars. He competed in his first WrestleMania match last year against Randy Orton. This year, he’s just an afterthought. DiBiase said he wants to create his own opportunity. He wondered aloud about taking out The Cerebral Assassin two weeks before WrestleMania and people will have no choice but take him seriously.

DiBiase stepped onto the ring apron and Hunter pounded him in the face. Cole wondered what DiBiase was thinking. They fought ringside with DiBiase landing a few blows before Hunter smashed him into the ring steps. DiBiase ate a second set of ring steps, then chucked DiBiase across the ringside area into the barricade. Next was a chair. Hunter jabbed it into DiBiase’s gut, then cracked the chair over his back. And again. The second one was a little too high near the neck. Then, he jabbed it into DiBiase’s gut.

Kelly Kelly was at ring side for a contest which was happening later
on the night. She was also the guest announcer. Maryse didn’t come out
with Ted DiBiase, but appeared towards the end to distract the ref,
which led to catfight with Kelly. Ted went for the Dream Street but it
was reversed. R-Truth hit his finisher for the win.

I guess there were no heel JTTS on Smackdown they could use, so of course, DiBiase would be at the top of the list. No mention of why DiBiase is suddenly appearing on Smackdown. Once the bell rang, DiBiase went right after Rey. But Rey came back and went off the top rope. DiBiase dropkicked him in mid-air and got a two-count 45 seconds into the match. Boomerang clothesline by DiBiase for two. Maryse came to the ring with DiBiase and looked on from ringside. Rey fought out of a rest-hold, but fell victim to a back-breaker. Running knee to the back by Ted Jr. DiBIase had Rey on his shoulders, but Rey turned it into a DDT. Headscissors by Rey, but DiBiase felled Rey with a sit-down inverted powerbomb. Nicely done for a two-count. Set up for Dream Street, but Rey got out and dialed up the 619. Splash off the top followed by a three-count.
WINNER: Mysterio, at 3:35. Maryse walked out on DiBiase after yet another loss.

Ted was in action tonight at the taping for this Friday’s Smackdown. Now, I don’t know if this means anything so until there’s any confirmation, simply take it as an interpromotional match. Nonetheless,you can check out the details below:
