One of the best things about starting a travel blog is that it doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from, literally anyone can start their own. It really doesn’t need to be about how how to make money with a travel blog, but there definitely could be potential if it is good. I have compiled a list of things you should know about starting a travel blog.
Just do it
People spend a lot of their lives deciding what to do and when to do it, but the great thing about a travel blog is that you can start right now. There really is no risk, you simply need to get yourself a website, it could even be a free website and then get going. Trust me, writing a blog is one of the best things that you ever do.
The costs are very low
One of the things about blogging is that the costs are a lot lower than you would think. For most beginners a free website is enough, but even if you pay to host your own the costs are still extremely low and are usually about $10 or less per month. This is small money that everyone can afford, so give up a beer or two and pay to get a website instead. You also need a little bit of time, which you can of course provide yourself.
The rewards could be great
In the beginning, it is most likely that your audience will only be your family and possibly your friends. The best thing is that this has the potential to grow to many people that you don’t know. Reaching a lot of different people from different places is extremely rewarding. You could even potentially make some money from blogging and traveling the world!
You don’t have to have anything prepared
The great thing about starting a blog is that you don’t have to have a huge plan or lots of content written, you can simply decide on this as you go. Because the costs are so low, the pressures to have everything planned out are minimised. You can simply do as much or as little as you feel with your blog. Of course, there is the potential for it to become more serious and this is also great too, because it could even become your job!
