In-ring: Ted DiBiase was already in the ring, along with Maryse, for a KOTR qualifying match. Daniel Bryan’s music hit to bring out Bryan. Suddenly, Brie Bella chased Bryan down ringside and grabbed his arm. Punk said he doesn’t understand why they’re making a big deal out of Brie. “She’s a four at best,” he said. Punk told Cole to stop focusing on Maryse’s wardrobe and focus on the competition in the ring.
U.S. champion DANIEL BRYAN (w/Brie Bella) vs. TED DIBIASE (w/Maryse) — non-title KOTR qualifying match
DiBiase dominated early on, with them apparently short on time and cutting right to DiBiase in control. DiBiase then missed with a corner splash and Bryan smashed him with a flying kick to the chest. Bryan tried another attack, but DiBiase busted out a spinebuster for the second straight night. DiBiase then tried a leverage pin on Bryan, but Bryan kicked out and immediately went to the LeBell Lock. DiBiase could not escape and was forced to tap out, giving Bryan the win.
Brie slid into the ring to congratulate Bryan. Suddenly, Nikki Bella ran into the ring and grabbed Bryan’s other arm to pet him. Bryan wanted nothing to do with a potential cat fight. So, he removed himself from the situation and pushed them close together to embrace. Bryan was smooth there.
WINNER: Bryan via submission at 1:52 to qualify for KOTR.

Ted DiBiase was out first with Maryse and Cole noted DiBiase is looking for his first major singles title in WWE. Daniel Bryan then came out to defend the U.S. Title and the announcers started bickering. And bickering.
U.S. champion DANIEL BRYAN vs. TED DIBIASE (w/Maryse) — U.S. Title match
DiBiase and Bryan started trading holds, then the lights suddenly turned out. Bryan and DiBiase kept wrestling, then the lights came back on a few seconds later. Bryan landed a kick strike to the gut that cleared DiBiase to the apron, but DiBiase came back with a suplex clear over the top rope dropping Bryan to the floor. Back in the ring, DiBiase landed an elbow smash while Bryan was draped across the ring apron and the announcers noted DiBiase’s new aggression post-Goldust situation.
DiBiase settled into a side headlock as the crowd chanted for Bryan. Cole and Striker bickered some more regarding Bryan before Bryan landed a double foot kick to the chest that decked DiBiase. Bryan then landed trademark kick strikes and backflipped over DiBiase to land another blow. Bryan proceeded to smash DiBiase to the outside and immediately followed with a suicide dive onto DiBiase. Bryan immediately began selling a right shoulder injury before rolling DiBiase back in the ring. Bryan went up top and landed a signature double foot thrust kick to the chest that resulted in a two count. Bryan continued to sell the right shoulder before landing multiple kick strikes to the chest. And some more. DiBiase grabbed Bryan’s leg, but Bryan countered into a small package for a two count. Bryan teased the LeBell Lock, but DiBiase blocked and smashed Bryan with a clothesline for a two count. Pause for everyone to catch their breath.

Backstage: Aksana was walking around with the Million Dollar Title belt, then Hacksaw Jim Duggan interrupted to accuse her of stealing his bit. Her mom was here. Aksana approached “her mom” and it turned out to be Dusty Rhodes. Kelly Kelly dropped a net on Catwoman and Goldust walked in. He retrieved the Million Dollar belt and handed it over to Ted DiBiase, Sr., who was accompanied by I.R.S. Schyster said he could find a good tax shelter. DiBiase, Jr. then walked in and turned down the belt. Jr. told Sr. he doesn’t want a hand-me-down. He walked off as the “waaaah waaaah” noise should have played. Cody Rhodes then walked past Ted, Jr. for a brief Legacy reunion before talking to Goldust. He wanted a grooming tip, but Cody told him his breath stinks. Cody walked off, then Dusty (still wearing a big wig) said he raised some weird kids. Tatanka suddenly entered and started dancing. Duggan walked in next. Aksana was still dancing under the net. Kelly Kelly was randomly inserted into this. Ron Simmons then walked in sporting his “Damn” t-shirt. The music stopped and everyone kept dancing anyways. “Damn” from Simmons was good for a cut.
U.S. champion DANIEL BRYAN vs. JACK SWAGGER — non-title match
Post-match: Ted DiBiase stormed the ring and attacked Bryan from behind, showing renewed intensity in his Old School t-shirt. DiBiase, with a scraggly heel beard, dropped Bryan with the Dream Street finisher. DiBiase then retrieved the U.S. Title belt, which Cole slipped on and said “belt” instead of “championship.” DiBiase held up the title belt and draped it over Bryan’s fallen body as Maryse suddenly walked out. Maryse smiled and greeted DiBiase ringside while Cole sarcastically thanked Ross for showing up.
