Ted DiBiase def. Intercontinental champion Cody Rhodes via disqualification. after Rhodes hit him with his mask; Rhodes retained the IC Title. After the match, DiBiase hit him with Dream Street and posed with the belt.

(September 2nd) Geneva, Switzerland
Ted DiBiase def. Cody Rhodes by DQ when Cody beat up Ted with his mask.

(September 3rd) Paris, France
Jinder Mahal (w/ Khali) def. Ted DiBiase
Before Ted arrived, Mahal spoke in Indian, so I have no idea what he said, then he spoke in English and said something about prestige and stuff. Yeah, whatever! Ted’s music hit and he got cheered! That was quite surprising but since Mahal was the heel, that made sense. Another great match, but not as exciting as the previous one. With Khali at ringside, we could expect some sort of intervention on his part to help Mahal win. At some point, Mahal distracted the ref long enough to allow Khali to hit Ted and Mahal pinned him for the victory.

(September 4th) Paris, France
In a 2 out of 3 falls, Cody Rhodes def. Ted DiBiase via DQ. after the match Brodus and Tyson came to help Cody beats Ted but Sin Cara and the Usos came to the rescue and clear the mat. Sin Cara finished with his moonsault and stay a long time shaking hands, talking and taking pictures with the audience.

Justin Gabriel vs. Sin Cara became a tag match when Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase interfered. Gabriel pinned DiBiase via the 450 splash.

July 7th – Cape Town, South Africa
Daniel Bryan vs. Ted DiBiase
WOW!! What an amazing match! Layer upon layer of wrestling goodness. LOTS of back and forth action. Some comedic spots as well, that were really well done. The crowd was heavily behind Daniel Bryan, and there were so many suspenseful moments when it seemed the match was over for him. However he managed to win with the LeBell Lock after 20 minutes. Excellent performance from both men, and from a live event perspective a legit 4-star plus match.

July 8th – Durban, South Africa

Sin Cara & Justin Gabriel b. Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase

July 10th – Johannesburg, South Africa
Ted DiBiase b. Cody Rhodes in a “grudge match” with a roll-up. Cody cut a promo before the match telling the crowd that this country is ugly and whatnot and everybody should wear the paper bags, as the bell-keeper handed them out. After the match Cody attacked Ted, hit a DDT and put a paper bag over his head.

R-Truth def Ted DiBiase
Kelly Kelly was at ring side for a contest which was happening later
on the night. She was also the guest announcer. Maryse didn’t come out
with Ted DiBiase, but appeared towards the end to distract the ref,
which led to catfight with Kelly. Ted went for the Dream Street but it
was reversed. R-Truth hit his finisher for the win.

Daniel Bryan (w/ Gail Kim) retained his US title against Ted DiBiase (w/ Maryse), using the LaBell Lock. Back and forth, fast paced, really good match, the crowd was really into it.

Goldust beat Ted DiBiase.
DiBiase was replacing Mark Henry, who was advertised for the match. Goldust came out to a huge pop as the first babyface out. For the younger audience that hasn’t seen Goldust wrestle a decent match instead of being in a squash match or in a comedy match, let me tell you, he’s still one of the best performers out there. We started a “Let’s go Goldust” chant that had the whole place going and everyone got into the match. A lot of back and forth, some good moves from Goldust, and a few nearfalls on both sides led to Goldust actually scoring the win over DiBiase. The crowd went wild with excitement over the outcome.
